(ECNS) -- Severe atmospheric convection involving strong winds, thunderstorms, and heavy rainfall hit Nanchang, Jiangxi Province on Sunday morning, causing four deaths and more than 10 injuries, according to local authorities.
Three victims fell to the ground from their homes due to the strong winds, two of them from the same family.
Jiangxi Provincial Meteorological Observatory issued a yellow warning for strong winds at 12:50 p.m. on Monday. It is expected that in the next 6 hours, some areas in the southern part of Ji'an City and the northern part of Ganzhou City will experience Level 8-10 thunderstorms on the Beaufort wind scale, with a high risk of disasters.
